International Council

Coordinates the main activities and programs from different regional and worldwide forums. It a permanent body of WEF, composed of international entities acting in the education area. Its function is to establish international relations aiming at articulating, on a worldwide level, a network of countries/entities which make possible the dissemination, debate and consolidation of an education minimum platform as a public policy focused on welfare.

It is supported by an Executive Secretariat, which articulates and keeps the debate alive among the members the Council and Organizing Committees of different forums. The Executive Secretariat, based in São Paulo, is coordinated by the Paulo Freire Institute (IPF) and by the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO).

Organizing committee

It operates on a temporary basis in the worldwide, national and regional levels. It is formed by local and national entities, and is responsible for structuring the main local and regional events, as well as for the organization of the World Education Forum. The work commissions result from this Committee.

The construction of any WEF shall be collective, through the articulation between the International Council, the Organizing Committee and its Work Commissions.
